Major airlines offer nonstop and connecting service to the Juliana International Airport. The island’s excellent seaport is a popular port of call for major cruise lines and ferries bring travelers to and from neighboring islands with great frequency and convenience.
The island delivers further connectivity through several providers of telephone, cellular and Internet services, as well as a cable TV company providing access to all major US networks and a number of European channels.
The Dutch side of the island uses a 110 voltage electricity system and adapters are not needed for North American appliances. The French side employs a 220 volts European-style system.
